How to beat the Doormaker boss in Slay the Spire 2
The Doormaker in Act Three is a multi-stage fight that you can’t damage directly at first. It summons a proxy called a Door—a mini boss with 155 health that dishes out 15–30 HP a turn. Pick cards that grant big immediate shields before the fight; for the likes of the Defect, that could be Boot Sequence, while Iron Wave is a good attack-plus-shield option for Ironclad.
If the Door drops low at the end of your turn, consider waiting to finish it at the start of your next turn so you can use your remaining energy more efficiently. The Doormaker buffs itself and its Doors as the fight goes on, so powers and stat buffs early can help keep those buffs from spiraling.
Buffer is useful to stop single heavy hits, and remember the Door will return after you defeat it. When you finally destroy the Door, the Doormaker appears stunned for one full turn—use that window to land high damage or stack powers and buffs before it begins fighting back.
