How to clean the chimney in Crimson Desert

Cleaning the chimney in the Actions Speak Louder than Words quest can feel fiddly because Cliff controls like a heavy lad with a lot of momentum and plenty of button combos to remember. The task itself—sweeping the chimney at Muckroot Ranch for an arguing couple—is simple but awkward to pull off if you don’t line up correctly.

First, grab the broom to the left of the front door and equip it like a weapon. Climb onto the roof using a stack of boxes at the back, then jump onto the chimney, hold CTRL (or left bumper on controller) to aim the broom into the pot, and press the attack button. Cliff will play a sweeping animation and kick up smoke; if you’re not standing or aiming in the right spot, he’ll just whack the chimney pot instead.

After cleaning the chimney, return to the arguing couple to receive the Hernandian Attire that lets you enter Hernand Castle. While you’re nearby, pick up Hidden Treasure Map Piece 7 from the model of the town to the north on your way back into Hernand.
