How to expand your vault in Marathon

Expanding your vault in Marathon lets you hold more weapons, backpacks, and implants for your Runner. Staying stocked helps when trading resources in the armory and provides a cushion of gear if you die on a run and lose everything. That can save you from buying expensive Sponsor Kits or resorting to the free kits, which tend to be garbage.

You expand the vault by purchasing "Expansion", one of CyberAcme's faction upgrades. It sits in the top left corner of their upgrade page and unlocks for $2,500 and 12 Unstable Diodes once you reach Rank 3, giving eight extra slots. After that you can buy four additional upgrades: Expansion (Level 2) adds +8 rows and requires CyAc Rank 7, $4,000, 22 Unstable Diodes and 12 Unstable Gunmetal.

Expansion (Level 3) adds +6 rows and requires CyAc Rank 13, $5,000, 27 Unstable Diodes and 15 Unstable Gunmetal. Expansion (Level 4) adds +4 rows and requires CyAc Rank 18, $7,000, 30 Unstable Diodes and 18 Unstable Gunmetal.
