How to fast travel in Crimson Desert

Fast travel is important in Crimson Desert given the large map and many tasks across regions. The game introduces the Abyss Nexus and its use as a fast travel point but doesn't explain how to find more. Mysterious Energy circles that appear on the map are a big part of locating additional points.

To fast travel, hover over an activated Abyss Nexus or an Abyss Cresset on the map and double-click, or press Y on controller, to teleport there. You must be unmounted: you can't fast travel while on horseback. Unlock additional fast travel points by finding and activating more Abyss Nexuses or Abyss Cressets, which are generally located in Mysterious Energy circles.

For an Abyss Cresset you need to find the Cresset and take the Abyss Artifact inside; for an Abyss Nexus simply stepping onto it will activate it. Abyss Cressets often grant a skill level and usually require a small trial to reach. For example, the Abyss Cresset southeast of Hernand sits atop a tall rocky pillar surrounded by Bismuth Crabs and life-eating plants.
