How to get bigger storage chests in Pokémon Pokopia

In Pokémon Pokopia you'll collect lots of items, so it's worth setting up storage early. The basic storage chest holds only 20 items, but you can upgrade soon depending on how hard you're going in the game.

After registering 30 Pokémon in your Pokédex you unlock the recipe for the big storage box, which holds 60 items. That also completes the Find new Pokémon! #5 challenge.

Habitats are reusable, which helps recruiting: move a Pokémon into a house and a new Pokémon will appear in its old habitat. This avoids early clutter and lets you rotate new Pokémon into your areas.

Crafting a big storage box requires three Pokémetal. Early Pokémetal can be found in golden Poké Balls on the floor and in the daily shop in both the PC and the Pokémon Center, if you're lucky, and you'll be able to get more later. Other storage items — wall storage box, office cabinet, even refrigerators — only hold 20 items and are mostly decorative.
