How to get bricks in Pokémon Pokopia

Bricks are needed for advanced, non-leaf building projects in Pokémon Pokopia, but the game doesn’t make their early acquisition obvious. To make bricks you need squishy clay and a Pokémon with the Burn speciality. Examples of Burn Pokémon that can turn clay into bricks include Charmander, Torchic, Litwick, Growlithe and Vulpix.

There are more on the full Pokopedia list, but because you encounter Charmander in the first area and Torchic in Bleak Beach, you can start making bricks as soon as you find clay. To convert clay into bricks, speak to your chosen Burn Pokémon, select “Look at this!”, show them the squishy clay and ask them to turn it into bricks.

One lump of clay becomes two bricks, and you can give up to 10 lumps at a time. The process takes a few minutes, but there’s no daily limit on how many times you can have a Pokémon make bricks. Bricks aren’t typically found in the wild the way rocks are.
