How to get inside Pinwheel Base in Marathon

Pinwheel Base on Outpost contains valuable loot, but entering requires specific items or actions. There are three distinct methods across five entrances, each with pros and cons, so it pays to know all of them and stay adaptable during Marathon runs. The most straightforward method is to use keycards at Flight Control, Dormitories, or Processing.

Find the sealed bridge with a shutter and a blue locking device that shows the types and quantities of keycards required — examples include two yellows and a green, three yellows, or two greens. After opening the shutter, cross the bridge, fight incoming UESC bots, then interact with the blue UESC terminal near the red laser barrier to begin a long hacking sequence that spawns more bots.

When the barrier falls you can call a lift up to the center of the base (Dormitories requires climbing scaffolding); the bottom of the lift shafts also has vents leading to ladders for a quieter route.
