How to kill cyborgs in Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2's Machinery of Oppression update adds two cyborg units on Cyberstan, and both share a clear weak point: the flashing red generator on their chest. With lightly armoured Radicals, targeting that generator lets you drop them before they close in to blast you with a shotgun or deliver a robo-kick.

Armoured Agitators come supported by Automaton grunts that get in the way of clean shots. You can aim for the red spot, but first remove their armour to expose flesh. Medium-penetration weapons are best for this task, and explosive weapons also perform very well.

The PLAS-101 Purifier, and its secondary counterpart the PLAS-15 Loyalist, shred cyborgs when you hit the chest; the PLAS-101 is regarded as best-in-slot for Automatons and also handles Devastors and Scout Striders efficiently. For Hulks and War Striders you will still need heavier firepower.
