How to open Hernand Castle Strongbox

Unlocking the Hernand Castle Strongbox is a small melody puzzle in Crimson Desert. To reach it you must enter Hernand Castle and obtain a key to the room where the box sits. You will also need a mask to steal the contents once it opens—this applies to other strongboxes too.

The box unlocks when you reproduce a short tune. Turn the dial on the right until it starts to slow and catch, then release it; the box will play the melody you need to copy. Cranking the dial several times will repeat the tune, which helps when matching the keys as it plays.

The top row has three keys (1–3) and the bottom row has five (4–8). The seven-note sequence to enter is 1-7-6-7-3-4-3.

Opening the box yields the Lavish Meal Recipe, assuming you have a mask. Be careful of nobles in the room—when I was unlocking it one sat down behind me without my noticing and I was thrown in Hernand jail. Each strongbox differs, so expect different puzzles at places like Bluemont Manor and elsewhere around Hernand.
