When you arrive at the fishing town of Vellua you’ll notice a full sail ship anchored just out of reach. None of the large boats at the dock are usable, and the distance is too great to swim even with full stamina. Instead, follow the coast east until you find a small cove and beach where a rowboat waits.

Interact with the rowboat to paddle out, and bring some food before you go. As you row toward the pirate ship, watch for sea mines that explode when you get close. Approach from the ship’s bow or stern: its side batteries fire on anything that comes alongside, but they won’t hit you if you come from front or back.

Row under the cannons to one of the ladders, climb up, and prepare to fight. The pirates and the ship’s vice captain aren’t overly tough, but the cramped deck and grenade-throwing enemies make the encounter trickier. It helps to clear the regular pirates first and then focus on the vice captain.
