How to unlock Hamamatsu Hill enemy base in Nioh 3
The enemy base on Hamamatsu Hill is hidden behind a locked door that has left many players stuck, since it doesn’t have an obvious key nearby or a straightforward alternate route. Here’s the spoiler-free answer: you must progress further in the story to gain access.
If you want to avoid a minor plot detail for an upcoming quest, stop reading now. To be specific, you obtain the Mountain Temple Key from Ii Naotora after completing the "Fated Land" quest at Ryotan Temple. Ii Naotora will return to Hamamatsu Castle; speak with her there to receive the key and start the "Ii's Memento" quest.
She explains that another temple north of Hamamatsu Castle has been overrun by Yokai, and the key lets you enter the enemy base at that location. Inside the base you’ll find five Yokai to defeat. Clear them and the enemy base will be marked complete, bringing you one step closer to finishing the Hamamatsu Hill region.
