Hubble team including Dr. Rachael Beaton finds new type of astronomical object

A team including Dr. Rachael Beaton of the Space Telescope Science Institute used NASA's Hubble Space Telescope to uncover a new type of astronomical object, according to a NASA Science post.

Dr. Beaton is on the leadership council of the Cosmic Origins Stars Science Interest Group (Stars SIG), the post says.

The finding was reported in a NASA Science highlight; the post announced the Hubble-based discovery.
