Hugh Jackman's Cyberpunk Thriller Chappie Now Streaming Free on Tubi

Hugh Jackman's dystopian cyberpunk film Chappie is now streaming for free on Tubi. Jackman plays an evil engineer in the 2015 action thriller directed by Neill Blomkamp. The story follows an AI police droid that is reprogrammed and captured by gangsters who try to train him to become one of their own.

As Chappie learns to think and feel, the film pits him against Vincent Moore (Jackman), who seeks to destroy the robot for personal gain. Released on Mar. 6, 2015, Chappie was Blomkamp's follow-up to District 9 and Elysium and was intended as the first of a trilogy.

Poor box-office returns — the film barely doubled its production costs — and mixed reception ended those plans. Critics gave it a 32% rating on Rotten Tomatoes while the audience score sits at 56%.
