Hyundai to livestream CES 2026 showcase featuring holographic windshield and new Atlas robot
Hyundai will present at CES 2026 on January 5 at 4 PM ET, and the company will livestream the event on its HyundaiUSA and global YouTube channels. The show feels less car-heavy this year after the Trump administration yanked most EV incentives, though Hyundai will still highlight in-cabin tech and robotics.
Hyundai Mobis says it will present "more than 30 mobility convergence technologies" and will outline the company’s AI Robotics Strategy, including a first look at a new Atlas robot. In a press release Hyundai said, "This next-generation Atlas represents a tangible step toward the commercialization of AI Robotics, highlighting the Group’s commitment to building safe and adaptable robotic co-workers." A teaser image makes Atlas appear dog-like; Hyundai acquired Boston Dynamics in 2020.
One headline product is Hyundai’s Holographic Windshield Display, a next-gen heads-up system that projects key dash data onto the windshield to reduce distraction without blocking the driver’s view. The display is a vertically expandable 18.1-inch surface and can show videos to passengers without making them visible to the driver.
Hyundai Mobis worked with Zeiss on the system, calling it "the world's first system to utilize holographic film to transform the entire front windshield into an ultra-large display surface." Hyundai says mass production of the holographic windshield will begin in 2029.
