I met Keegan-Michael Key on a plane
I boarded a flight from Newark Airport in Jersey City to San Francisco with a business-class seat that a clothing brand I was working for had booked. My row 11 window seat felt like a treat — I usually fly economy — and I was settling in when a woman asked if I would switch seats so she could sit next to her husband.
I quickly said, "Sure." Just as I responded, I looked up and saw Keegan-Michael Key; I was switching seats with his wife. She explained she thought she had booked them to sit together, so I took her seat in row 10 and she took mine in row 11. He was literally one of my favourite actors, and his wife leaned over to say he would be happy to take a photo with me — which he did, and he was so nice.
Throughout the flight every single person who came up to him got his time and never once seemed annoyed. He talked to people, let them take photos, and helped his wife whenever she needed it.
