Idris Elba's Apple TV thriller Hijack was an instant hit when it premiered in 2023. The gripping series tells the story of a corporate negotiator who finds himself caught in a hijacking and must use his skills to save his life and everyone aboard the plane. The series was renewed for Season 2 after the first season became a major hit, and it replicated its predecessor's success despite a lack of viewer acclaim.

Hijack has been one of the top shows on Apple TV, peaking at number one when the season finale aired on March 4. Current streaming data, courtesy of FlixPatrol, shows that Hijack is finally losing its grip on viewers while facing steep competition from Apple TV's latest additions.

New episodes of Shrinking, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, and Imperfect Women have propelled all three shows to the top of the chart, pushing Hijack further down. It's not unusual for shows to lose viewers following a season finale, so Hijack will eventually disappear from the charts unless Apple TV renews it for Season 3.
