The return of sunny weather has me reaching for water guns, and my top pick is the SpyraGo. It's one of the best I've used, packed with tech that makes it more accurate, satisfying and hard-wearing than typical water pistols.

Although the pricier SpyraThree offers greater firepower, accuracy and functionality, the Go is the better choice for most people: it's cheaper, lighter — making it easier for younger water warriors to handle — and still packs enough oomph to make rivals feel silly.

Charged by USB-C, the SpyraGo fires high-speed blobs that travel farther and hit more accurately than you'd expect, so shots feel precise rather than random. Its sleek sci‑fi design gives it more of a laser‑tag look than a traditional toy water pistol.

After a year of using Spyra blasters, it's been hard to go back to ordinary water guns, and the upcoming SpyraFour, due to launch in 2026, is definitely one to watch.
