Erica Radol hadn’t tried Spanx’s AirEssentials line until recently, despite the brand’s popularity with celebrities. After testing several pieces from the new French Rib collection, she found the fabric upgrade, along with the comfort, fit and cut, convincing enough to wear the collection almost daily.

The French Rib Wide Leg Pant is offered in petite, tall and regular lengths in sizes XS-3X. Its signature UPF 50+ spacer fabric stretches in every direction while remaining light and flowy; Radol tried the pant in black, and it is also available in navy, cream, sage and more.

The French Rib Sleeveless Jumpsuit served as a one-and-done option for lounging, lunch and casual outings. The ribbed texture lifts the pieces out of sweatpant territory into a hybrid, potentially dressier style, and the pants include pockets. One minor drawback she noted is that the ribbon waist tie can flip and expose the white elastic beneath the drawstring hole, which she corrects by flattening the tie.
