'In the Grey' Clip Teases Guy Ritchie’s Heist Action Thriller

A new clip from Guy Ritchie’s upcoming action thriller In the Grey shows Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal posing as a married couple as they brief their team and plan a daring con.

The film was initially scheduled to hit theaters in January 2025 but faced post-production delays and shifted from Lionsgate to Black Bear Pictures; it has now been given a release date of May 15, 2026.

Rather than the grittier approach of Wrath of Man and The Covenant, the footage leans toward The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre vibes, with Ritchie’s snappy dialogue and dry humor giving way to pratfalls as Cavill and Gyllenhaal needle their way behind enemy lines.

In the Grey follows an elite crew tasked with stealing back a billion-dollar fortune from a ruthless despot. What begins as an impossible heist spirals into a war of strategy, deception and survival, delivered with practical stunts, high-stakes danger and Ritchie’s sense of sarcasm and wit.
