‘Industry’ creators say they know the ending, have a Season 5 idea
Across Season 4, Harper Stern and Yasmin Kara-Hanani pushed the limits of friendship and ambition while Whitney Halberstram’s fraud closed in and Yasmin and her husband Sir Henry Muck fought to claw their way out of looming consequences. In an interview, creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay reflected on the show’s evolution and said they have an idea for a possible Season 5—“we know what the ending is.” Down said the series began as a young person’s slice-of-life drama drawn from trading-floor experience and has grown with the actors and characters, becoming more mature and posing bigger questions.
At its heart, he added, the show remains about the intimacy of relationships, with geopolitical and conspiratorial elements serving as background. Kay described Whitney and Henry as a Prince-and-Pauper story about class and identity, noting moments such as the two-passport scene that crystallize the series’ themes.
