Internet Reacts to First Photo of Amazon’s God of War

Amazon released the first photo from its live-action God of War series, showing Ryan Hurst as Kratos and Callum Vinson as Atreus. Some observers found the image underwhelming, and a large number of online reactions echoed that view.

There are positive and neutral takes sprinkled across the web, but many users remained unconvinced by the set photo. First announced in 2022, the series could still turn out well; this may simply be a poor first impression. Kratos in particular drew the most criticism, with many commenters attacking the look on social media.

The show has no release date yet but is expected in early 2027 and has already received a second-season order. Ronald D. Moore is running the series and writing for it.
