iPolish unveils app‑controlled color‑changing press-on nails at CES 2026
At CES 2026, iPolish debuted what it's calling "the world's first digital color-changing nails": acrylic press-on nails that connect to an app and can change color on demand.
The nails pair with an app offering over 400 polish colors. Users place the tip of a nail inside a small wand device, described as resembling a portable power bank, and the color changes almost instantly. iPolish said the product is non-chemical and cruelty-free, and the nails last as long as regular press-ons, typically until your nail grows out.
iPolish's senior vice president Lance Littell said, "This is beauty on demand, and it's the future of beauty." The company said the underlying technology has existed for about 15 years and is a derivative of what's used in Kindle readers; a ZDNET demo reported the polish changed within a few seconds and the nails looked similar to a regular gel manicure.
The starter kit is available for preorder for $95 and includes the color-changing wand, a top coat, bonding glue, and two sets of nails, with replacement sets starting at $6. The company aims to launch this summer, and the technology will likely be available in major beauty stores, the outlet said.
