Is The Legend of Khiimori worth playing in early access?
The Legend of Khiimori, a realistic horse courier and survival sim, has arrived in early access. After six hours of play the reviewer found it strikes a rare balance between survival mechanics and a focused riding experience, though the $30 price and genuinely early-access state temper that enthusiasm.
The game is a lite survival sim built around horse management and exploration. You ride between map locations to complete delivery quests, manage your horse's food, water, mood, health and stamina, tend hooves and grooming, breed owned horses with inherited stats and traits, and fend off predators with a bow or repellents; there is no fast travel and multiplayer is not planned.
The early access build shows its age in places. The reviewer hit a progress-blocking quest bug within five hours, and frequent autosaves prevented returning to an earlier save. The main story is not yet implemented, and visual awkwardness such as stiff facial animations and flat lighting at dawn and dusk remain.
