Isabella Comas, 21, missing after car with 'blood stains' found; boyfriend arrested
Authorities in Arizona are searching for 21-year-old Isabella Comas, who was last seen leaving a friend’s house in Avondale around 3:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, Jan. 11, in a red Hyundai Sonata. The car was found abandoned days later in Phoenix and Comas remains missing, the Avondale Police Department (APD) said.
Police say the vehicle — license plate 2EA6LW — was abandoned near 67th Ave. and Indian School in Phoenix. Court documents obtained by ABC15 Arizona reported “blood stains and damage found inside the car,” and the APD said surrounding agencies, hospitals, cab companies and emergency services were contacted with negative results.
Comas is described by the APD as a Hispanic female with brown eyes and pink hair, about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a navy-blue shirt, blue pants with a white stripe and sandals. Detectives say someone found Comas’ phone at a recycling center in Phoenix on Jan.
12; Thomas Rodriguez, identified as Comas’s 39-year-old boyfriend, handed the phone over to her family, according to AZ Family. It has not been disclosed how Rodriguez obtained the phone, the outlet said. A Maricopa County Attorney’s Office prosecutor told a Jan. 29 hearing that Rodriguez “already went to great lengths to conceal evidence, linking him to the stolen vehicle,” per AZ Family.
