It: Welcome to Derry season 2 'definitely in the works,' says showrunner

HBO Max's It: Welcome to Derry has not been officially renewed for season 2, but co-showrunner Andy Muschietti says a second season is in the works.

Speaking at a press conference after this year's Saturn Awards, Muschietti confirmed: "There's not much we can say but yes."

He added that they are proud the expectations are high after the first season and that "I think we're going to deliver something that is greater."

While no official renewal has been announced, Muschietti's remarks suggest a second season is all but certain.
