Jaafar Jackson Center Stage in 'Michael' Biopic Images

For the first time, the late Michael Jackson will be the subject of a new biopic titled Michael, with his nephew Jaafar Jackson playing him across an expansive career. Courtesy of Lionsgate, new images offer an early look at Jaafar in the role; the film opens in U.S.

theaters on Apr. 24, 2026. The first image shows Jackson in a white shirt, black pants, and a black jacket, passionately singing into a microphone as smoke and fog billow around him in what can only be described as a quintessential recreation of the music icon.

The second image shows another angle of Jackson on stage, this time wearing black-and-white striped pants and a white shirt — an outfit he famously wore during The Jacksons' 1984 Victory Tour. In the third image, Jackson stands with his arms spread in front of a crowd, who cheer wildly for him as he and his family soak in the love.
