Anaconda, a modern reboot of the 1997 film starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd, opened on December 24, 2025. This comedy-leaning take follows childhood friends Doug McCallister (Black) and Ronald "Griff" Griffen Jr. (Rudd) as they film a reboot and encounter a giant anaconda, using meta-humor and featuring a cameo from Ice Cube.

The movie has generated over $133 million worldwide and drawn mixed responses, holding a 48% critics score and a 75% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Aidan Kelley gave it 5/10, praising Black and Rudd's performances and some of the comedy while noting the "big lack of giant snakes for a giant snake movie" and criticizing the pacing in the final act.

Two months after release it continues to find an audience on VOD, ranking #6 on Amazon's Top Movies chart between Dracula and One Battle After Another. No streaming home has been announced, but the film is available to rent on Prime Video.
