Jack Ryan: Ghost War teaser confirms title and trailer release
Prime Video has released a first teaser for its upcoming Jack Ryan movie, confirming the title as Jack Ryan: Ghost War and announcing that the full trailer will debut tomorrow. The tease marks the character’s return after a three-year absence. Amazon first adapted Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan in 2018, casting John Krasinski in the lead role.
Krasinski trades his sitcom everyman for an action-oriented Jack Ryan, who began as a fledgling CIA analyst after uncovering a suspicious series of bank transfers. Across the series, Ryan—also a former U.S. Marine officer and Afghanistan veteran—has survived dangerous missions in South America, endured a wrongful treason accusation, and served as acting Deputy Director of the CIA.
The use of “ghost” evokes the ClancyVerse’s Ghost Recon and its elite stealth units, raising questions about the movie’s direction.
