Jason Statham's The Beekeeper Lands on Peacock
Jason Statham's 2024 action film The Beekeeper is now streaming on Peacock. Directed by David Ayer, the movie follows Adam Clay, a retired trained killer who returns to a secret underground world of vigilantes after someone close to him is harmed by Derek Danforth, the spoiled son of a billionaire.
The cast includes Josh Hutcherson as Derek Danforth, with Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver, Michael Epp and Jeremy Irons in supporting roles. Critics drew comparisons to John Wick and noted the film's bee-themed jokes; it holds a 71% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 92% audience rating.
A sequel directed by Timo Tjahjanto is scheduled for Jan. 15, 2027, after the original grossed $162 million and was described as a sleeper hit in 2024. The Beekeeper was released Jan. 12, 2024, runs 105 minutes, and lists Kurt Wimmer as writer and Jason Statham, Kurt Wimmer and Bill Block as producers.
