Jennifer Hudson returns to The Voice for Season 29 Battles
Jennifer Hudson returns to Season 29 of The Voice as an Alumni Coach for the Battles round, joining a red-chair panel that includes Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and John Legend. The Battle of Champions format brings back all‑stars and former Coaches, and Hudson is part of that star‑studded lineup.
Her Voice résumé spans both sides of the Atlantic: Hudson coached on The Voice UK beginning in 2017, guiding artists across Seasons 6 to 8; she served as a US Coach in Season 13 alongside Miley Cyrus, Levine and Blake Shelton, then returned for Season 15 with Clarkson, Levine and Shelton.
In Season 26 she acted as a Mega Mentor for Coaches Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire. Hudson has not yet secured a Coach victory on the US show, but she did win Season 6 of The Voice: UK with Team JHud’s Mo Jamil Adeniran and helped Season 15 finalist Kennedy Holmes reach the Live Shows, where Holmes finished fourth.
