Jimmy Kimmel reacts to Trump firing Kristi Noem

Donald Trump has fired Kristi Noem as his secretary of Homeland Security, and Jimmy Kimmel reacted in a segment on his show.

Kimmel quoted the announcement: "Kristi Noem will be, as Trump said, 'moving to be Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere'." He added, "And I think I speak for all of us when I say, we wish Kristi luck in her brand new, completely made up job."

He then turned to Noem's replacement, Markwayne Mullin, and played a montage of interviews in which Mullin repeatedly stumbles and forgets place names. "Let's just say that Markwayne is no Mark Twain," Kimmel said, later concluding, "Thank you again, Mr President. The homeland is secure."
