Joao Felix ended a 14-match Saudi Pro League goal drought by scoring twice in Al-Nassr’s 5-0 win over Al-Khaleej. The wait stretched back to a 2-2 draw with Al-Ettifaq in December. Felix scored Al-Nassr’s third and fourth goals, with his second described as the pick of the bunch after he expertly controlled a sharp pass from Angelo with his right foot, flicked it onto his left and volleyed past goalkeeper Anthony Moris.

The win came despite Cristiano Ronaldo still being absent through injury. Felix had remained a key contributor during the barren run, providing seven assists in his previous 10 outings. He finished the match with his 11th assist of the season to top the league’s creativity charts and now has 15 league goals.

Reflecting after the game he said: "This comes with maturity. I'm not new in the game, so I know how I need to deal with those kinds of things. If I'm not scoring, it's OK. It happens. But sometimes I will shoot bad and it goes in, and sometimes I shoot good and it doesn't go in.
