Joao Pedro credits Rosenior for Chelsea form after Kane-Haaland comparison
Joao Pedro has credited Liam Rosenior with his recent upturn in form at Chelsea, after the manager compared him with Harry Kane and Erling Haaland. Since the coaching change in January, the 24-year-old has been spearheading the Blues' push for a top-four Premier League finish.
The arrival of Rosenior has coincided with a marked improvement in Joao's output. He has produced 11 goals and five assists under the new regime, taking his season tally to 18, including a hat-trick against Aston Villa and a decisive FA Cup strike against Wrexham.
His shot conversion rate of 24.6% this season is higher than Haaland's 22.4% and only Kane (31.3%) is better. Joao points to Rosenior's constant feedback and personal attention as the key factor. "When the new manager arrived, he told me that he already knew who I was and wanted to help me develop," Pedro revealed.
