John Legend Praises Sauce in KJ Willis' Soulful Blind Audition
On the third and final night of Blind Auditions for The Voice Season 29, KJ Willis took the stage with Bobby Brown's "Roni." His performance drew glowing comments from all three coaches and earned chair turns from John Legend and Kelly Clarkson. Willis, a singing barber from Memphis, Tennessee, had both his mom and dad cheering him on and offering advice backstage.
His father quipped, "Kelly has the most wins," and his mom countered, "How can you lose with John Legend?" Willis joked, "Y'all gonna make me choose Adam Levine," and shared a laugh with his dad about giving him a haircut.
