Jordan Henderson was at the centre of a chaotic scene at the Vitality Stadium after Brentford's 0-0 draw with Bournemouth, squaring up to a Bournemouth staff member after the final whistle and having to be restrained by team-mates and security to prevent a touchline melee.

The incident unfolded as players and staff made their way toward the tunnel. Footage showed Henderson attempting to push through a dense crowd to confront Cherries assistant manager Tommy Elphick, with several Brentford staff and members of the playing squad stepping in to form a human barrier.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, who helped mediate during the scuffle, said the primary source of the friction was another member of his coaching staff. He said: "I am always a peacemaker but I am not sure how it started. It was Jordan Henderson and Coops. It was a strong argument but nothing much really happened.
