Joseph Duggar, wife face new charges of endangering a minor, false imprisonment
Joseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra, have been charged in Arkansas with multiple counts following his earlier arrest over allegations he molested a 9-year-old. A release from the Tontitown Police Department said arrest warrants for each list four second-degree counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four second-degree counts of false imprisonment.
The Washington County Jail said Kendra is in custody and had not yet been booked; Joseph is being held in the Washington County Detention Center for a Florida case. Local officials said the new Arkansas charges are unrelated to the Florida case, though the separate investigation in Arkansas was opened after the alleged Florida incident.
Bay County authorities had charged Joseph with lewd and lascivious behavior involving a victim under 12 and lewd and lascivious behavior by a person 18 or older.
