Josh Allen's four turnovers doom Bills in 33-30 OT loss to Broncos
Cbssports reported that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen committed four turnovers in a 33-30 overtime playoff loss to the Denver Broncos in the divisional round.
Allen fumbled with 16 seconds left in the first half, a turnover Denver converted into a field goal, and opened the third quarter with another fumble after a blindside hit by Nik Bonitto. He threw an interception on the second play after the Bills recovered a third-quarter turnover by Broncos QB Bo Nix, and in overtime threw a third interception on a third-and-11 from his own 36; Brandin Cooks appeared to have a chance at the catch but Ja'Quan McMillian made the interception and Denver drove 75 yards for the game-winning field goal by Wil Lutz. Allen finished with 283 yards and three touchdowns but the four turnovers led to nine points for Denver, and he became the first quarterback in 10 years to have at least two interceptions while also losing at least two fumbles in a playoff game.
It was the seventh straight season the Bills reached the playoffs without making the Super Bowl. After the game Allen said, as reported, "I feel like I let my teammates down tonight," and the report concluded that the franchise will, for now, "continue to roll the boulder up the hill," leaving open questions about when the breakthrough will come for Allen and Buffalo.
