Josh Duhamel Battles for the Perfect Preschool in First Look
Preschool takes aim at the modern scramble for coveted early-education spots. Josh Duhamel is directing and starring in Richard D’Ovidio’s screenplay, which centers on the competitive atmosphere that now surrounds preschool admissions. A first-look image from the Republic Pictures film shows Duhamel standing center stage in a white long-sleeve shirt and gray pants, arms spread, with the preschool’s crest behind him and performers in animal costumes flanking the stage, reflecting the picture’s satirical tone.
He plays one of two fathers fighting tooth and nail to get their child into the best preschool possible. The cast also includes James Cosmo (Game of Thrones), Charity Wakefield (Sense and Sensibility), Michael Socha (Showtrial) and Fenella Woolgar (Call the Midwife).
Preschool is Duhamel’s third feature as a director, following The Buddy Games (2019) and Buddy Games: Spring Awakening (2023).
