Josh Elliott and Liz Cho embroiled in contentious divorce

Former CBS anchor Josh Elliott filed for divorce from ABC anchor Liz Cho on June 20, 2025, stating that “the marriage of the parties has broken down irretrievably.” Cho responded on Nov. 6 with a cross-complaint that makes the same claim; Elliott asked the court for a dissolution and an equitable distribution of property.

Cho’s filings seek extensive documents, including communications between Elliott and any person with whom he had a romantic or sexual relationship from July 11, 2015 to the present, as well as banking records from Jan. 1, 2020 through the date of his response, travel receipts and records of any job-search communications.

Elliott objected to those requests, calling the time frame unreasonable and harassing and disputing their likely relevance to admissible evidence. The dispute escalated when Cho filed a motion for contempt on Jan. 29 over the jointly owned Connecticut home after Elliott arranged for a moving truck to come to the residence on Jan.
