Josh Gates Probes Dracula, UFOs and Lincoln in Expedition Files Season 4

A new trailer for Season 4 of Expedition Files previews a wide-ranging set of investigations led by narrator Josh Gates. The season is set to premiere on Discovery on April 1, 2026. Gates outlines inquiries that include the fate of Abraham Lincoln’s assassin, John Wilkes Booth — with claims that a man later alleged to be Booth resurfaced and that a preserved corpse was exhibited as a sideshow — as well as searches for Noah’s Ark, the 2001 anthrax attacks, and the historicity of Count Dracula.

The trailer also hints at episodes on the kraken, declassified UFO files, Atlantis, Cold War spies, World War II ghost armies and more. The series places Dracula in historical context, noting Vlad Dracula, the 15th-century Wallachian prince known as Vlad the Impaler, and that Bram Stoker was very loosely inspired by those legends when he wrote Dracula in 1899 despite limited knowledge of the historical facts.
