Joshua Jackson Pays Tribute to Late Co-star James Van Der Beek

Joshua Jackson spoke publicly for the first time about the death of his Dawson's Creek co-star James Van Der Beek on the Today show, as tributes continue after Van Der Beek's passing at 48 following a two-and-a-half-year battle with stage III colorectal cancer.

Van Der Beek starred as Dawson Leery on the series; Jackson played his best friend Pacey Witter. Jackson said he feels the loss "in a variety of different ways," noting that as a father the enormity of the tragedy hits him differently than as a colleague.
