Julia Roberts says she read Ocean's Fourteen script and called it 'good'
MovieWeb reports that Julia Roberts confirmed she has read the script for the upcoming Ocean's Fourteen and was "kind of surprised," saying, "And it's good. I mean, we wouldn't do it if it's not good." She made the remarks at the Golden Globes pre-show and also confirmed her participation in the sequel.
As reported by Variety, Roberts was present at the Golden Globes ceremony, where George Clooney also appeared; Clooney has previously said the film's budget was approved at Warner Bros. and that production timing is a scheduling matter. Clooney told reporters a few months ago, "We just got the budget approved at Warner Bros.
and we're trying to set up," adding, "It's just scheduling, so it's just setting a start date for us," and that shooting would "probably start in about nine or 10 months." The project is planned about 25 years after the original film, with Clooney returning as Danny Ocean and Roberts as Tess, and with Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle also expected to return.
