Jurassic World Rebirth arrived on Netflix and quickly climbed to the top of the streaming service's movie chart within days of its debut. Directed by Gareth Edwards, the film blends elements of the original Jurassic Park with a contemporary storyline that frames dinosaurs as a key to humanity's salvation.

At the box office, Rebirth earned $339.6 million domestically and $869.1 million worldwide, marking the first entry in the franchise not to cross $1 billion since Jurassic Park III. Writer David Koepp penned the script and the sequel continued the trilogy's trajectory by taking the dinosaurs out of the park, even repurposing a scene scrapped from Michael Crichton's novel.

Critical response was mixed: the film sits at 50% positive on Rotten Tomatoes. No next chapter has been officially announced, and it remains unclear whether Edwards will return for a follow-up. Edwards' career has moved from his character-driven Monsters work to big franchise projects such as Godzilla, Rogue One and The Creator.
