Jurassic World Rebirth Tops Netflix and HBO Max Charts
Gareth Edwards' Jurassic World Rebirth, led by Scarlett Johansson, climbed to the top of both Netflix and HBO Max charts, reaching No. 1 globally last week before being overtaken by Alien: Romulus and dropping to No. 2 worldwide. On Netflix the film slipped more noticeably overall but still holds the No.
2 spot in the U.S. The movie is the seventh entry in the franchise and connects the two previous trilogies. Box office returns were strong: Rebirth earned $869 million globally against a $180 million production budget. Critical response was mixed, with a 50% Rotten Tomatoes critics score while audiences rated it 70%.
The plot follows a team on a mission to extract DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures to create a cure for heart disease. The film divided viewers but also served as a reminder that well-made creature features can balance spectacle with a humane story.
