Arsenal forward Kai Havertz is set for another spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury, extending a season already disrupted by recurring fitness problems. He is expected to miss several matches, including next weekend's north London derby at Tottenham.

Havertz ended 2024-25 recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out for the final three months, then suffered a knee problem a week into 2025-26 and spent four-and-a-half months in treatment, returning in the first half of January. Mikel Arteta has said he needed to be eased back into the fold, but Havertz has now been hit by a new issue.

Club medical staff have ruled the issue a 'muscular injury' and it is not specified whether it came in training or during Arsenal's 3-0 win over Sunderland. He is likely to miss the upcoming fixtures against Brentford, Wigan in the FA Cup, Wolves and the trip to Spurs.
