Kai Rooney signs with Triple S Sports Management
Sixteen-year-old Manchester United academy forward Kai Rooney has signed with Triple S Sports Management, the agency that has long represented his father, Wayne. The firm, led by Paul Stretford, was behind Wayne Rooney’s £27m move to Old Trafford in 2004 and Harry Maguire’s £80m transfer in 2019.
Triple S confirmed the partnership on social media, posting an image of Kai penning his contract and saying: "Delighted to announce the signing of Kai Rooney to Triple S Sports. We’re excited to begin working with the Manchester United forward as he continues his journey in the game.
A bright future ahead. Welcome to the team, Kai!" The move comes as Kai is being fast-tracked through United's ranks, often competing against players two years his senior in the Under-18 Premier League. After recovering from an ankle injury he has established himself in the final third, notably scoring a left-footed goal in a 3-1 win over West Ham that secured United’s place in the U18s Premier League Cup final.
