After a 6-1 first-leg, Bayern beat Atalanta 4-1 at home to comfortably secure a place in the Champions League quarter-finals. Vincent Kompany made extensive changes to his side, but Harry Kane, carrying a slight knock, started and converted a penalty at the second attempt (25') before adding a second goal after the break (54').

Lennart Karl (56') and Luis Diaz (70') also scored, with Lazar Samardzic grabbing a late consolation for Atalanta (85'). Jonas Urbig stepped in for the injured Manuel Neuer and produced a superb save before half-time, earning praise for his outing. Josip Stanisic provided the assist for Kane’s opener, while Raphael Guerreiro returned to the starting line-up and played a key part in the first half, including setting up the penalty.

At the back, Min‑Jae Kim impressed physically after replacing Dayot Upamecano though he lost sight of the scorer for the goal conceded. Jonathan Tah led calmly at times, and Tom Bischof filled in at left-back but was less prominent.
