Karim Adeyemi has yet to commit to a new deal at Borussia Dortmund, leaving his future uncertain. The 24-year-old has managed only two goals and two assists since late-November and has been reduced to a bit-part role under head coach Niko Kovač, fuelling speculation that his time at the Westfalenstadion may be coming to an end.

Dortmund are said to have a contract extension ready for his signature, but Adeyemi has made no move to sign and appears to be weighing a summer exit. Bild says the former Red Bull Salzburg forward is holding out for interest from England, with Manchester United among the clubs previously linked to his services as he seeks to test himself in the Premier League.

Negotiations have been complicated by the involvement of agent Jorge Mendes, who is pushing for a release clause allowing a predetermined fee. Dortmund’s current offer does not include such a provision, creating a stand-off. On the situation, Adeyemi warned: "In football, everything can change very quickly.
