Kate Hudson's son Ryder, 22, towers over her at Vanity Fair Oscars party
Kate Hudson’s son Ryder, 22, towered over his mother on the red carpet at the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars Party. He wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt and an ivory silk tie.
Hudson, 46, chose a plunging black cut-out dress, accessorizing with silver earrings and styling her long blond hair in light waves. She also walked the Oscars red carpet with her mother, Goldie Hawn.
Ryder is a college senior at New York University and will graduate in May; Hudson said in February that he "wants to be doing good work" and isn't "trying to get in front of the camera just to get in front of a camera." She shares Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, whom she was married to from 2000 to 2007. Hudson also has a 14-year-old, Bingham, with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, and a 7-year-old daughter, Rani, with fiancé Danny Fujikawa; she and Fujikawa went public in 2017 and became engaged in September 2021.
