Katherine Heigl returns to red carpet at Mar-a-Lago dog rescue event

Katherine Heigl returned to the red carpet Sunday at the Wine, Women & Shoes Benefiting Big Dog Ranch Rescue event at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., marking her first public carpet appearance in two years. She styled her hair in a bouffant, wore drop earrings and a colorful patterned dress, and completed the look with royal blue heels and a bright yellow quilted Chanel purse.

Heigl attended the fundraiser with her mother, Nancy Heigl, and posed for photos with Dog Whisperer trainer Cesar Millan, Judge Jeanine Pirro and Big Dog Ranch Rescue founder Lauree Simmons. She also cradled an adorable dog while on the carpet. Her previous public appearance was a reunion with the Grey’s Anatomy cast on stage at the Emmys in January 2024, when the group — including Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers and Chandra Wilson — presented an award.

Heigl now lives in Utah with husband Josh Kelley and their three children, Naleigh, 17, Adalaide, 13, and Joshua, 9.
